At the beginning of this year, I wrote a post talking about how I wanted to start doing monthly “reading roundups.” Three months into the year, this has become a reality.

March wasn’t my best reading month. As I talked about on my personal blog, I was in California for a week. I’ve also been trying to cut down on reading to make time for other things.

I’ve heard people say that reading fictional stories is a waste of time, and I wanted to point out why this is not true.

However, it was simply too big a subject for me! Books have taught me certain lessons … but they’ve taught other people completely different things. And I hate to narrow this broad subject down to just my opinions and experiences!

So, through Google Forms, I asked a variety of readers from social media the following questions: What does reading mean to you? How have novels helped you in your life? Why are they worth something to you?

December & 2017 Reading Round-Up

Hi there! Long time no see! *nervous gulp*

Well, y’all are gonna thank me for my (unannounced) hiatus in the long run. Because it gave me time to think.*

And … I decided that I needed to take Reveries Reviews in a new direction. (Sort of.) From now on, I’ll be doing monthly reading wrap-up posts (like this one). And every year I’ll do a yearly reading wrap-up post (like this one) as well.

I’m always going to try to post twice a week regularly and balance my reviews with posts of other sorts. Though *coughs* you’ve heard that before.

*not that I’m not always thinking … just that this time I thought even more than usual. #superthinker
